Directions to Honokohau Beach

From the south (Kailua-Kona, Keahou, etc):

Take Alii Dr north, which turns into Palani Rd
Turn LEFT on Queen Kaahumanu Hwy/Hawaii Belt Rd
Continue on Queen Kaahumanu Hwy for about three (3) miles
Turn LEFT on Kealakehe Pkwy (you will see a sign for the marina)
**IMPORTANT** - Kealakehe Pkwy splits, one goes straight and one goes right
Take a RIGHT turn and continue all the way around, past the boatyard and keep LEFT
The road will dead-end at the entrance to the harbor and there is parking here.
Walk out to the ocean entrance to the harbor and to your right you will see the path to the beach.
It is clearly marked with the National Park signage.
The path will lead you to the beach and the gathering area.

From the north (Waikoloa, etc):

Take Queen Kaahumanu Hwy south past the airport.
Turn RIGHT on Kealakehe Pkwy (you will see a sign for the marina)
**IMPORTANT** - Kealakehe Pkwy splits, one goes straight and one goes right
Take a RIGHT turn and continue all the way around, past the boatyard and keep LEFT
The road will dead-end at the entrance to the harbor and there is parking here.
