Matron of Honor
Rosario Ana Sevilla
("Ate Rosanne")
Cousin of the Bride
Rosanne is my first
cousin, and being an only child, she is my only big sister, my
"Ate." My first memory of her was when we were little children
in Manila. I was three years old when I fell and scraped my
knee as she and I were playing together. My first instinct was
to holler in pain, of course! But did I? No.
Before I could shed a tear, my Ate hugged me and soothed me,
saying, "Don't cry, brave girl, you're a brave girl." As we
grew up, there would be many changes in our lives.
Throughout the toughest times, when the little girl in me
would proverbially fall and scrape my knee from life's
disappointments, I would always hear Rosanne's words, "Brave
girl, brave girl." This little seed of wisdom has been her
greatest gift to me, along with it, her constancy and
her selflessness. In my eyes, Rosanne is radiant person, both
inside and out. Always an overachiever, she has a
successful career, is a devoted mother of three adorable
children and is a loving wife to her husband, Gabby. She
is an inspiration to me, because she does indeed, have
it all! We are bound by blood and friendship, and I am
proud and honored to have her by my side as my Matron of
Honor. I love you, Ate Rosanne.

Bridesmaid
Susan Camille
Flor
Friend of the
Couple
As with most good
things that have happened in my life, my friendship with Susan
Camille came unexpectedly. I had just moved to San Francisco
and was surfing Craigslist for last minute tickets to La
Boheme. I found the tickets, and through those tickets, a
newfound friendship with Susan. The sincerity of her offer of
friendship drew me to her. Yes, she was nice, sweet, and I
immediately noticed, 'darn, this girl works out! I want her
upper arms!' Then I also quickly found out that she was witty,
funny, can cook a mean lasagna, and is extremely bright. And
the girl can dance! Rarely does one see a blend of all the
above, without the presence of one other thing: Ego. Now,
misinterpret me not. Susan Camille normally has an outlook
about anything and everything, and that is what makes her so
stimulating to be with --- yet she respects people, she
listens and is never judgmental. She is down-to-earth,
but never a doormat. She is worldly without being proud,
opinionated without ever being condescending. Susan Camille is
one of the smartest, most tolerant, most beautiful
people I know. Now, since I am her exact opposite, I don't
know exactly how she survives. Just kidding! I am grateful for
your friendship, Susan!

Bridesmaid
Maria Cecilia Lualhati
Friend and Colleague of
the Bride
One time, my boss called
me on a Monday morning to say, "Hey you, be careful with your
phone!." He proceeded to tell me how my phone autodialed him, and he
overheard me and a friend rockin' to Britney Spears. Thank you
Caller ID. Okay, so guilty as charged, Cecilia and I were in the
car, yelling at the top of our lungs to "Oops I Did It Again." Oops,
Cecilia and I did it again. We were en route to Napa, singing while
at the same time making fun of the three dead rabbits we had already
passed. No one but the two of us were supposed to know of this, our
Evil Side (bwa-ha-ha-ha!). Busted! After 5, it's Citi-what?! Yes,
Cecilia is fun-loving, hilarious to be with, but don't be fooled.
She is one power-mama. Cecilia is someone I am happy to have had the
chance to have 'mentored' (oh such big words!) I am so darn
proud of this one. The youngest one on the team and a three-time
region awardee (refer to gold umbrella on lapel!). She'll even quote
you things like, "I once had a manager who said, dress for the job
you want, not the job you have." Inspirational. You've come a long
way, baby! You are always a winner in my eyes.

Junior Bridesmaid
Megan Victoria Tankeh
Niece of the Bride
Megan has truly begun to
blossom into a sweet and charming young lady! My first memory of
Megan was meeting her during her Christening.
I remember driving up from Orange County to San Francisco, and
falling in love with Megan, who was a quiet, reserved little baby,
and really close to Mom. Part of her appeal then (and now!) is
that you never quite knew what she was thinking, but you definitely
know that she's got something special up her sleeve. Even as a
baby, she had a personality all her own. By the time I had
moved to San Francisco, Megan was in her terrible twos! Oooh... and
those twos were indeed terrible. My, my, and look where we are now.
It is with great pride and adulation that I've watched her grow into
graciousness. Megan is a happy, confident, loving girl:
Marionne's big sister, big brother Keefe's loving thorn-in-the-side,
Daddy's little girl, and Mom's angel. Megan holds the promise of a
sweet rose yet to bloom.... and yes, the anticipation of its
fragrance already fills the air!

Flower Girl
Marionne Sevilla
Niece of the Bride
Being with Marionne is
sure to take you back to that happy place of carefree childhood.
Isn't she the cutest? This small but wonderful package of delight is
a ham! On any given day, she'll give you an impromptu rendition of
"Tomorrow" and "Que Sera Sera." When she thinks she isn't being
watched you'll see her acting out her unscripted monologue while
brushing her hair in front of the mirror. She'll practice her smile
and she'll pose! She is the future Broadway star in the family. She
talks non-stop, and skips around the room. Watch her giggle, watch
her laugh, watch her sing and watch her dance. Best of all, watch
her melt your heart. There's just no escaping Marionne's
charm.
